St. Joseph. Although I often ask St. Michael, St. Patrick, St. Therese, St. Christopher, and countless others for their prayers as well. |
My advice to men considering the priesthood: Listen, listen, listen! In all likelihood, God is not going to slap you in the face and tell you that He wants you to be a priest! God often speaks in a still, small whisper, as He did in Elijah's cave (1 Kings 19:11-12). Find your silence and ask God what He wants for you. Listen and be open to whatever He asks of you.
Why I want to be a Priest: First and foremost, I want to be a priest because I believe God wants me to be a priest. It is my firm belief that a person cannot be truly happy and fulfilled while living apart from God's will. A priest functions as Christ's ambassador on earth. I think a priest must be a leader by example. In an exceedingly pessimistic, relativistic, materialistic culture, the faithful must have an example of someone who lives his faith "in the world", but yet is still not "of the world." He must be strong in both knowledge and faith. In a world that is constantly screaming at the faithful, in the priest they must find someone who proves that they can say "no" to the evils of this society while still promoting the good, through Jesus Christ and his Church.
Hobbies & Interests: Playing the guitar, reading, and watching movies. I also like football, rugby, baseball, hockey and tennis.
Influence: First and foremost, I was influenced by my parents. They raised me in the Faith and taught me to pray. I have also been influenced by too many great priests, saints, and future saints to name.
