SOS is a fun filled evening attended by those who support vocations to the priesthood. The evening consists of a cocktail/social time, a "marketplace" where many donated items are available for sale, plus delicious bakery products made at Conception Seminary College. Dinner takes place in a ballroom with complimentary wine. During a short program both bishops say a few words, and the seminarians attending Conception Seminary College from both dioceses are introduced to the crowd. The evening concludes with a live auction of many special trips and services.

SOS takes place at the Marriott Allis Plaza in downtown Kansas City, MO in January. This year it will be January 30, 2009. Though dressy, it is not a black tie affair. Anyone who appreciates priests and seminarians would truly enjoy this event. The proceeds are divided between the Archdiocese of Kansas City KS, the Kansas City/St. Joseph diocese, and Conception Seminary.
