My advice to men considering the priesthood: Like all of life's journeys, the priesthood requires a very small first step. If that journey (or any of our journeys) is devoted to holiness and love, the good Lord will give in support, his immense grace. One also needs to remember the word that Pope John Paul voiced so often: "Be not afraid."

Why I want to be a Priest: To give witness to the truth as stated in the Creed and to provide the sacraments to God’s people.

Hobbies & Interests: golf, gardening, reading, and ballroom dancing

Influence: My mother’s faith, my father’s character and courage, the example of several fine priests, and several fine Catholics I know.
