My advice to men considering the priesthood: Grow in prayer, faith and community. The call to the priesthood is a gift and is unique to every person. It may happen very early in your life or it may happen a bit later (as in my case). The important thing is how we respond if we believe God is calling us. Are we at least open to discernment? The road to discerning our vocation is a journey in itself and allows us not only to know God more but to know ourselves much deeper. We are blessed if we ever have that opportunity and even more blessed if we decide to immerse ourselves in that process. "Be not afraid" (Pope John Paul II).
Why I want to be a Priest: I believe God is calling me to be a priest to represent and bring Christ to His people and represent the people of God before Him. On the lighter side ... how cool is it to say "I am a Catholic priest"?
Hobbies & Interests: praying, learning about the Catholic faith, reading fantasy novels/fiction, listening to music, playing guitar, playing sports (soccer/basketball), watching movies and TV, news on the internet, photography, admiring nature, light conversations ... and tons of other small stuff. :)
