My advice to men considering the priesthood: To believe whole heartedly that God will not abandon you as you explore a calling to the priesthood. That a calling could start early in your life or even later while working in a post college career. I would encourage any man to try and get away from the noise of the world to think and pray. Spend as much time as possible in Eucharistic adoration, pray the rosary daily, and go to confession and Mass frequently. Seek counsel with your vocation director and other priests or religious sisters/brothers to discuss their journey to the altar as well as for help in answering your questions or concerns.
Why I want to be a Priest: Since graduation from college 10 years ago, I had the opportunity to meet and work with many types of people. I have been a part of many of life’s ups and downs. Even with some business successes, I wanted something more from life. I started to find fulfillment from learning more about my faith, examination of my inner feelings, helping others in my parish and community. I began to believe that my true vocation was to serve our Lord.
Though the journey has just begun, I hope that one day to become a priest. I want to use my life experiences along with the education gained at the seminary to serve our Lord’s people and bring them to Jesus Christ and His holy Church.
Hobbies & Interests: Golf, mountain biking, reading, listening to inspirational CD’s, cooking, spending time with family & close friends.
Influence: My parents & grandparents, Archbishop Timothy Dolan, Fr. Mitchel Zimmerman, parishioners at my church.
