Father Patrick Sullivan
Although I grew up Catholic, with great Catholic parents, I still managed to fall away from the faith in my early to mid twenties. In 1998, at the age of 28, I had a life changing experience and reversion back to the Catholic faith. This came after attending a Cursillo retreat. From that point to the present my Catholic faith has evolved. Soon after the retreat I began taking on apostolic ventures such as Eucharistic Ministry to the sick and homebound, RCIA assistant instructor, Cursillo team leader, etc. It wasn't long before I asked myself "If all these things bring me so much peace, happiness and contentment, why not make it my life's work?" Furthermore, secular life seemed to be a void of something I couldn't quite find in anything "the world" had to offer. So, at the age of 34 I decided to sell my home, quit my job, and enter the seminary. After two months in Priestly ministry I can honestly say that I have never experienced such joy and happiness in my life.  It was the best decision I've ever made.
