A common experience for high school students is to make trips to colleges they may be interested in attending. The idea is to check out the students, facilities, classes, faculty and the general atmosphere of the school.

Conception Seminary College in Conception, MO has a similar approach called "Encounter With God’s Call." There are two events whereby you spend two nights there, attend a few classes, pray with the community, meet some students, have fun, and see if God may be asking you to give this a try. Fr. Mitchel Zimmerman, the vocation director for the Archdiocese, will accompany you there, and be around to answer questions and help you in your discernment. There is no charge and Fr. Mitchel can provide transportation.
