New 5th Grade Vocation Day photos |
|
5th Grade Vocation Day was held October 8 at Christ the King Parish in Topeka. Over 360 students and their teachers came to learn what a religious vocation is, and meet with sisters and priests who have answered a call from God. The day includes a keynote addresses from Fr. Mitchel Zimmerman the vocation director, and from the Sister Servants of Mary. Archbishop Naumann led a session to explain his role as shepherd, and explain the meaning of his miter, crosier, and pallium. At the end of the day he celebrated Mass with all the students and blessed the religious articles they won playing Vocation Jeopardy.
Many thanks go to the Serrans who organized and served a continental breakfast and lunch, and to HyVee for donating donuts for breakfast. Click here to see photos
