My advice to men considering the priesthood: Follow the interior voice of your heart. If God is calling you to the seminary, he will let you know and the best way to find out is through prayer. God will speak to your heart in prayer but remember that your vocation is both: a gift from God and a personal response. "Do whatever he tells you". These were the words of Mary to the servants at the wedding of Cana and we should do the same if we want to be truly servants of God. And my last words of advice are Do whatever he tells you!!! and He will be always with you.
Why I want to be a Priest: I think that the priesthood is a really special calling from God to leave everything else and give our entire hearts to him. Pope Benedict the XVI says that God is Love and if priests are the servants of that God, then they are the servants of that Love. I believe that truly happiness is reached by loving as Christ himself loved. Priests give their own lives in service of those friends of God. Jesus once said "there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends". I feel happy whenever I help other people out and I believe that the priesthood is the best way in which I could help anyone by showing him that there is a God who died for him because he loves him.
Hobbies & Interests: I love going to the movies, I enjoy listening to classical music and going camping once in a while.
Influence: My parish priest was a big influence in my decision to join the seminary. I could see that my pastor, Father Jacob enjoyed everything he did and was happy while helping people out. I then said, "this is what I want to do with my life".
